Favorite part of competing as an individual:
“My favorite part is that you can do your own thing all day. You don’t have to be in a specific area with your teammates. You’re pretty much doing your own thing all day and worrying about yourself,” Stoian said. “There’s a lot less pressure on you.”
What you’ve done different competing this year:
“I trained a lot harder in the summer, got my mental toughness a lot higher and learned different techniques during the summer,” he said.
Coach’s outlook:
“We have expectations of him going all the way to the finals,” Athens coach Mario Bastianelli said. “Jeremy just has the determination and the drive that he’s going to go after you the entire match.”
